This single-family villa near Scandicci was a restoration of an existing building, without any architectural change, in which the only work was made on finishes and furniture. The client entrusted Illum with the lighting design of the whole residence, and chose, with the help of our expert, some very modern, high-tech lamps. The Archetto Space lamps by Antonangeli stand out mounted both vertically and horizontally in the living room and in the bedroom.
We also provided the Urban Mini spotlights by Axolight; the Smile step lights by Wever & Ducré; and the Mondrian picture lights by Astrolighting, both in bronze and matt nickel finishes. The Guise lamp by Vibia stands out because of its aesthetics and context in the kitchen, where its glass matches the chromium plating of the furniture perfectly.
On the outdoor space, the client chose to continue with a modern solution, using Montur by Deltalight, Etna by Puraluce and Simes for the spotlights and step lights.
The philosophy of this project always was to choose something suitable for the modern needs of the client, without depriving the very elegant furniture of its leading role.
On the other hand, the need for an illumination responding properly to the owners’ needs prevailed both indoor and outdoor.
